I really liked it!!

I really liked the movie, though I found it stressful at times. I entered fully into the spirit of what the moviemaker was trying to portray. I had heard of Corrie Ten Boom before and did not take a critical eye to the movie, I just wondered what the slant/storyline would be. I allowed myself to live in the world of young people called to do heroic things when it would be so easy to just go along with the crowd and the flow of culture at the time. Apparently 5% of people joined the resistance, and 5% of people joined the Nazis.. the rest did nothing. I found the characters believable and inspiring. I found the love story poignant, and the distress of Ati when Peter was dead heart wrenching, especially since he was killed only 3 months before the end of the war. The characters were either real or amalgams of actual characters, including a wicked/diabolical general with an obsession with children. I know this because i had the privilege of hearing Peter Spencer answer questions after we were shown the movie. We were also privileged to hear how Rachel "got into" the character of Ati.. i found that very encouraging. She said that the only way she was able to do it was to remember that Ati had started off being ordinary, and had grown into who she was as a result of circumstances and her reactions to what was asked of her. Apologies to Rachel if this is not exacty what she said. She also said she was not the same at the end of the movie as at the beginning.

Cheers to the team who brought this movie to us, may there be more from them!!!! I read the other reviews on this movie, and there didn't seem to be anything that cannot be overcome in future productions.. so all power to them!

It was a great film, and, like you said, poignant.

I enjoyed it and ignored the low budget and the fact that there were no stars in the cast.

Very moved by it.
