This is just my opinion. I was not expecting this movie to be good at all. The first one wasn't as hyped up as this one. I WAS, however, expecting Frozen to be a way better movie. I was so disappointed. This movie is my favorite of 2013. Deserve way more credit. It had me on the edge of my seat, had me laughing, emotional, and I'd say I'd be proud to own it. Again, this is only my opinion. don't try to burn me at the stake. Lol.
shareI agree! I thought this movie is better than Frozen. The graphics are better and more detailed, the jokes are better, better characters and character development, better paced, etc. Frozen was a total disappointment to me.

Like for example, 2 sisters, one has powers, old sister protects younger sister from danger, older sister runs away, A KICKASS SONG PLAYS, in the end, an act of the older sister true love thaws younger sisters frozen heart, you don't need man to save you. So Frozen™ has an interesting story that you've never heard in a Disney™ Film. And the more intresting writing there is, the more funner the movie gets. The writing is well done because its wanting to go away from the cliched waiting for prince to rescue me. I think you need to change your title "Way better than The Lion King..."

They kinda introduced the "you don't need a man to save you" concept when Mulan came out. It is unique that the love of a sister saved the day though. It's only my opinion. Again. I just couldn't get into the movie like everyone else did. Am I wrong for that?

But i do need to agree with you that it was much bettrr than frozen.
Frozen is one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen in my entire life, and I would rather watch DM2 than Frozen any day.
I agree with you!!! I thought both Despicable Me 2 and Frozen were both wayyyyy too overrated. I do not see how Monster's University(WHICH WAS GREAT!) was not nominated for an Oscar last year while this movie and the Croods were. They were both really not my favorite. This movie is not as good as people say it is. I think it is only popular because of the minions, that is pretty much it. I thought Frozen was pretty good but not great. I can not watch it more than 2 times.It was okay and I DO NOT SEE HOW THIS MOVIE MADE MORE MONEY THAN TOY STORY 3. TOY STORY 3 WAS A BILLION TIMES BETTER THAN FROZEN AND DISPICABLE ME COMBINED. I felt like Frozen rushed a little and Despicable Me wasn't impressive at all. Plus, I thought the movie Tangled and Brave were wayyyyyy better also than FROZEN.

shareI think this film is better than lots of films, not sure why you singled out Frozen as the one to compare it to, unless of course its because it was also a big animated film that came out in 2013.
I like them both, but I would also say that they are very different films which deal with different themes, and they're aimed at a slightly different audience.
I don't know if you'll read this any time soon, but here's why I compared the two. It was simply because they were both nominated for Oscars, and Frozen beat this movie. At the time, I was really upset because I felt like Frozen was extremely overrated. I still do to an extent. The only parts I'll never get tired of is "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" and "Let It Go". I wouldn't say it's terrible, but at the time, it was too hyped up. To me. Despicable Me was a very unique film- people keep saying Frozen is unique, and in some ways, it is. But not in such a way that it really stood out to me.
