I liked it

I would say it's a less funny version to be honest.

I'll give it another chance, but I wasn't overly impressed with the first episode. I didn't laugh once. In comparison to How Not To Live Your Life, I'd say it wasn't nearly as funny.

It's one of the endless stream of Peep Show-influenced 'awkward social moments' comedies that don't have enough jokes to be funny.

Once this has finished its run we'll get the slightly more absurd (and probably better) "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret".
