I'm so tired of these kind of movies on Lifetime

Why do they always show the females being the victims and being blinded by love. Can't they show a movie where the female FIGHTS BACK to the male on Lifetime? It's always the same crap every time.

Did you even watch the whole movie?

Yeah I did. And it was lame as hell. Elizabeth was so annoying.

reply

I think it's supposed to resemble real life.

Especially since they are younger. I think an older woman would be more inclined to fight back especially if there are children involved.

If you wanna see movies with women fight back think Enough, The Brave One, Trapped and Descent. I'm sure they'll be playing all but Descent on Lifetime at some point if they haven't already.

I'm more talented than all of you, I see that clearly now.

"The 19th Wife" was an excellent film about certain women fighting back realistically in Mormon sects, OP.

"Odd Girl Out" and "Queen-sized" are two other awesome girl-fighter ones.

I don't mind watching them if they are acted well, but I know what you mean too.

I mean, the believability is something else: We're to think that ALL these women, young and old, don't realize they're in an abusive relationship??
They NEVER saw a film about it, never read about it, never heard about it in school, saw it in a friend/parent/relative?? Good grief!

The reason they keep showing films like these (besides the ratings) is because women continue to act like Elizabeth, sadly.

I do agree that lifetime is famous for showing "women in crisis" all the time but that was not the main point of this particular movie. You have two sisters: Marie(Elizabeth's mom) and Leanne(Kelly's mom). Marie was supposedly the oldest sister and not to mention the condescending know-it-all who thought she was oh so perfect. And Leanne was the younger sister who felt like what she did was never good enough(at least Marie made her feel that way). Then the daughters came out pretty similar(well as Marie saw). So this movie was to show that the sister who thought she had the perfect family wasn't so perfect after all. At least, that's what I got! I actually like this movie.
