great looking cupcakes, ugly scupltures
Their cupcakes are very profesionally decorated and they look great, but the 2 sculptures they made out of cupcakes looked as if they were made by an elementary school class. very sloppy

Exactly! I was just thinking with the cupcakes I've made in the past with the "swirl", maybe I should have had it "copywritten"!!! LOL!
shareI was laughing as well, cause reality is, it doesn't really matter what they LOOK like only if they TASTE the same each time. Now I can understand wanting conformity but that drastically? Geez.
I agree those sculptures did look awfully sloppy. However, in their defense how stable can a structure be if there holding 1 cupcake up with 1 toothpick. They need to find a better way to attach the cupcakes and then maybe the sculptures will improve. I did find it great when Sophie said "We're bakers not sculptors". Or something like that.
people shouldn't be trying to make sculptures out of cupcakes. It's tacky! Like those ugly cupcake cakes you see at the grocery store.

and, to me, the 'sculptures,' no matter that they do a good job of matching the pattern (using a grid system to copy them), end up looking like an old dot matrix printout
