Was she EVER REALLY ELECTROCUTED???? (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS!!!!!!
Actually.....I'm wondering NOW after seeing the entire movie if she was EVER shocked/electrocuted and instead woke up in a hospital room because of her delusion in the emergency room.......Perhaps that was really one of her psych visits they were referring to toward the end of the movie. And......how did the South African dr. friend of hers think she was telling the truth about having to take care of her mom---surely SHE knew Kaitlyn's mom had already died.
