Yes, anyone could enter. There was an open announcement about it. The only real requirement was that you film it on the designated day and then post it on YouTube and send a link to the filmmakers page. I participated and had about 2 seconds used in the final film...whoo hoo! Actually, it was fun to be included, even if it was just me sitting on the toilet.
A sequel would be fun---but doubt it would happen.
