Just watched the live stream! Awesome film and documentary. Truly a preview of the level of expression and interaction that the digital future can and will allow.
Now...
What I want to know is if, we, the 'Contributors' whose footage ended up in the final film get (imdb) Credits???
Thanks Olerragin for your reply! I really hope it is so...
How did/do you know... cause I haven't received a follow up email since the 'selection confirmation' email : (
And if so, are we going to credited as DIRECTORS as in the films final credits, or as CONTRIBUTORS...
Kevin Macdonald did make a crack about imdb when he said, '...we trying to put imdb out of business...'
The première... I'm assuming you mean the one before it's 24 July 2011 theatrical release... and not the Sundance one obviously, cause that's past now and only a select few were flown over. It should be interesting with the film most likely premiering at several cities, I'm assuming I'm probably only going to get to go to the local London one : ( not complaining though...
I think only the featured people in the film got to go to the premiere at the Sundance Festival and have their names on IMDB. Wikipedia's listing has the list of ALL of the contributors that were used. I was stunned when i stumbled on that. I'm listed there---but NOT on here (and I was only in it for the briefest moment).
I can't remember where I read it or heard it when I posted my reply. But I remember it was from a reliable source. I'm pretty sure _boinng_ has it right - that only the featured people in the film get to go to the premiere at the Sundance Festival. But I remember very well that they stated that all of the people in the movie would be in the credits.
The film has been out for weeks now but the contributors are still uncredited on IMDB... Any ideas why? Everyone in listed clearly in the film's credits...
