For the most part I really enjoyed this film. Although, the final monologue from the girl seemed forced and scripted. It just didn't jive with the rest of it. It's baffling MacDonald including this scene.

Agreed. Should cut away right after she said nothing happened. But instead it turns into a rambling emotional some-or-other that should've been dropped to the cutting room floor... err... desktop recycle bin.
"Rampart: Squad 51."
It did feel "different" from the majority of the film, but I do think it worked as a bookend for the film. It's one of the scenes I liked the most actually.
