The bad post-synchronized dialogue kills this film

Probably my biggest pet-peeve when it comes to movies is bad post-synchronized dialogue. Unfortunately this film has it in spades. You know you did a poor job when it's blatantly obvious even when my focus is primarily on the subtitles and not the mouths of the actors.

I get it, the Chinese film industry has to cater to moviegoers who speak Mandarin and Cantonese so they end up doing a lot of dubbing. And often they'll shoot a movie in Mandarin with an actor who only speaks Cantonese or vise-versa so dubbing is essential. But if you shoot a film in Mandarin and the entire cast speaks Mandarin, record audio on the set and/or spend some time making sure the dubbing isn't noticeable.

Okay, rant over.

Agreed. It was very distracting.
