He is. Only watched this to see him, as I've never heard of either of the two main characters before. It was an interesting situation, though, even by today's standards.

Just watched this. I thought he was terribly miscast, actually, very grating with the 'Cor, Blimey' accent he deployed.
shareYou have some reason to think the person he was representing had a different accent? Aidan's accent was perfectly realistic for a certain type of person at that time. I'm pretty sure he would have settled on that accent in consultation with the producers/director as what was required. Aidan is great at accents.
I think he's an amazing actor; as others have said, a real chameleon who is so different in every role he plays.
