Really Enjoyed It

I'm not an avid Corrie watcher at all but like everyone it's been part of my life since I was born (mid 70's!). Thought this drama was really well acted and captured the era very well. Lynda Bellingham was excellent as Ena and despite Jessie Wallace usually playing the cockney sparra' type she's was brilliant as Pat Phoenix (particularly the audition scene). Well done all involved!

It was Lynda Baron not Bellingham!

Other than that, I agree with you!! :)

i will be honest about this, i am not a fan of corrie street. don't know why but it just never appealed to me. but this was brillent, the costumes, the dialect and the feel os the 1960's. also as we know the show is still one after 50 years it was fan to see, Ken Barlow (or his son who plays him) bragging that after 13 episodes he will go onto films, when even i know he's still in the show

Never watched Corrie in my life but im a big fan of Jessie wallace and Lynda Baron so i thought id watch this, it was interesting to see how the soap started, jessie was great as Pat and got the accent spot on, Lynda was great as always, and James Roache was perfect casting as Ken, hes a great actor and looks so much like his dad! i was hooked the whole way through the show, not a dull moment and some very funny lines, William Roache bragging about going to hollywood and the fact the first reviews thought it would only last 5 seconds, well done to everyone involved i loved it

I'd saved the show and have just watched it this evening. Absolutely wonderful!! I stopped watching Corrie years ago because I lost interest in the characters when people like Hilda Ogden left, but this brought it all back to me - Elsie Tanner, Ena Sharples, Annie Walker, all those fabulous female battleaxes! David Dawson who played Tony Warren was brilliant and it's always a pleasure to see Stephen Berkoff in a rare TV role. I didn't even recognise Jane Horrocks who was, as always, fantastic. I laughed a lot but, at the same time, I felt very moved.

I too failed to recognise Jane Horrocks -- although I knew there was something familiar about the character! But I don't see her in the cast list on this page...
