Are thoes traditional English names?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are the character's names traditional English names or are they nick names? I'm not from the UK so I have no clue, but I just find it odd that parents would name their kid Milky, Combo, Smell, Lol, Pukey, etc. I only ask since some of the other people have fairly normal names like Woody, Kelly, Harvey, Shaun, etc.

Re. Milky, Combo, Smell, Lol, Pukey, etc. They're just nicknames.

Woody wouldn't be a normal name in the UK though and infact is actually the character's nickname too.

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a woman?

Well Woody is a nickname for the character's surname, which is Woodford, and some people here in the UK do have nicknames made out of their surnames. Some people do have unusual nicknames too.
