Muting the narration

Would there be any any audio programs that would be able to single out any layer of specific audio in a television series in hopes of muting whichever line of audio you please? Or, for whatever reason, would the audio in a television series have some type of prevention from the general public to have such power of manipulation?

I rarely get annoyed, but the narrator in this series destroys episodes. 22 minutes straight, she sometimes won't let up. Putting the entire focus of the episode on her, making the voice acting, writing, story, animation, all the time and effort and money put into this show essentially pointless as the main focus seems to be half-baked commentary that adds incredibly little, if anything, to what's going on in the scene.

I just survived episode 8...... God help me.

I think I will watch the show muted with subtitles on, but would love it if someone out there has taken out the narration for episodes. If not, I may attempt that.
