And why would the sister seduce her sister's husband when she had a BF?

Don't really get this ... should be enough to dissuade anyone from having an
affair with the sister of their wife, or the husband of their sister, but not these
fools? Why would the single sister make a big play for her brother in law when
she went on the trip purposefully to bond with her new BF?

That is the kind of thing people on Jerry Springer do, and no one would really
want to watch a movie about that, would they?

They aren't real people. Bad writers wrote them that way. You know, make it look like they're hiding truth about missing guy, then turned out thry are hiding something else, then turned out he was hiding what he knew

You can't blame it all on alcohol and drugs. The flick shows Steph (Teresa Palmer) intentionally using her womanly charms to attract Dave on their vacation in Cambodia, when both are relatively sober. Dave recognizes her interest and foolishly takes the bait; the fact that he gets increasingly drunk/high doesn't help in resisting the temptation later. Dave may have justified his actions because, while on the beach lustfully watching Steph in the water, he simultaneously sees his pregnant wife, Alice, getting a little too chummy with Jeremy on the beach.

So why did Steph do something so foolish? Pride in her beauty & charms along with jealousy/envy over her sister's successful family (a husband and 2 kids with another on the way), which she currently lacked.
