very good--spoilers

I thought this was extremely good--held my interest throughout and had solid acting in all roles. It is a well-crafted script with realistic dialogue and a believable relationship between the characters.
The end was the only part that disappointed me. When the heroine makes a career switch-- it's too idealistic and not in tune with the real world where jobs are hard to find.

The whole thing is based on a true events, however, the female lawyer in question has never come forth publically and revealed her identity apparently. I read an interview with her (in which she remains anonymous) where she explains that the events in the movie that were true or fictionalized:

1. This story actually took place over twelve years ago, and not within the last few (as depicted).

2. The lawyer was actually in Civil law, not Corporate law (they seemed to have this confused in the movie and have it meshed together as far as I could see).

3. This was indeed her first criminal law case.

4. She did NOT re-evaluate her life and switch to criminal law following the case. She remained in Civil law and has been there since.

5. Has been called for Jury duty three times since.

6. Has NOT practiced criminal law since this trial, the case was a one off pro-bono case. Admitted that she wouldn't go to criminal law as a career because it jarred her too much of just how much responsibility it is to have someone's life in your hands.
