Dear SyFy Channel part 2

I have heard several astronauts in the news and have known quite a few engineers and scientist types over the years that have credited science fiction in general and Star Trek TOS specifically for inspiring their careers. Indeed, although I'm hardly a scientist, science fiction was part of the reason I went into my life's work. Question, is this movie going to inspire anybody to do anything positive with their lives and what will that be?

Umm. . .for those who watch it to get inspired into making a better movie?

I have to agree. The computer generated stuff doesn't work for me. I would much rather see them make an effort to do it realistically even if they have less blood and guts. I would also hope that they would be inspired to write better, less cliche' and less predictable storylines.

Reason why the computer graphics don't work is because the storyline is written around them, so you're not getting a story but a bunch of cgi stringing sentences together.

I happened to think it was a pretty fun flick

Dude, where have you been the past 10 years? SyFy airs movies like this every week for the past decade or so. I don't know when they started but it was at the latest 2000-2001. And you act like THIS movie is the first bad movie they ever aired?

Plus, not all movies on SyFy are SyFy originals. The worst of worst are the ones made by Asylum. SyFy plays any low budget movie that fits the channels theme. I for one appreciate the effort to stay true to the channels genre. Aside from sports and food, very few networks stay true to their theme anymore (what the hell are A&E and VH1 supposed to be about?)

I've seen most of these "bad" movies, since i'm a fan (unlike you), and I can definitely tell you that SuperCroc (2007) is the worst. I say it like it's fact without a doubt and I challenge you to challenge that opinion. The AXE GIANT is not the worst, far from the best, but not the worst. Do your homework.

I love these movies too, not this one in particular, but most of the low budget creature movies I will watch with a solid buzz going on. I have 'lake placid 4' from netflix that I need to watch sometime soon lol.

Actually I've been watching the SciFi Channel/SyFy Channel almost since it came on the air and have been giving them a hard time for their crappy movies for almost that long. I lump Asylum pictures in with SyFy "originals" since Asylum makes most of their stuff directly for SyFy. Their DVD copies just have some boobs and profanity thrown in.
