Completely agreed. If you cast McAvoy, you're guaranteed great acting.

Bad as each other.
Same here, the Sweeney was a big let down...
But this movie Welcome to the Punch, also missed some action...
They startede out great but then It just became about finding the guy, instead of seing the guy pull another heist while the cop should try to stop him...

I won't deny Welcome to the Punch has it's problems, but I consider it a far more enjoyable and satisfying movie than either Blitz (2011) or The Sweeney (2012), if only because I actually cared about Punch's characters and what happened to them. For example, I thought Sweeney's main protagonist Jack Regan (Ray Winstone) was cocky, arrogant & completely unlikable. When Punch's Sarah Hawks (Andrea Riseborough) was killed, I found it genuinely sad, but when Sweeney's Nancy Lewis (Hayley Atwell) was gunned down I couldn't have cared less.
