It's like the gay 'Crash'

Both very good movies, but too aggressive to get their points across to people who are already hard-headed enough.

Then, don't believe it or sympathize.

Wtf are you even talking about? I said they're very good movies and they certainly got through to me and even I can feel a little militant about these issues, but I couldn't get a typical republican to watch crash or a typical male to watch The Normal heart. Hear what people are saying before you get defensive.

~ Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. ~

reply

Both films made me cry. More than once.

I personally don't feel like The Normal Heart is aggressive. At all. Because it's based on real life, I don't see it as abrasive or harsh. I watched with my fiancé and he felt the same. I think the only scene some have a problem with is the sex scene between Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer.
