What other documentaries do you recommend?

I watched this one last night and found it extremely interesting. I came to this board thinking not too many other people have seen it and I am pleasantly surprised to see so many positive comments (extremely rare on IMDB)!

Documentaries are my favorite films and I watch quite a few.

But if you have a favorite, please let me know so I can check them out. I might have missed out on a gem!

Thanks

Your question is a little broad to be answered here. There are so many documentaries, and so many good ones.

What do you like? Netflix doesn't have a great choice of movies to stream, but they do have a rich variety of documentaries.

I was about to make an identical post as the OP.. Documentaries are maybe my favorite film genre and especially ones centered around the wilderness or survival.

Another documentary that I watched and enjoyed was Virunga. Although it is more based around politics I really enjoyed learning about the peoples day to day lives and struggles. I must say though that it has little to do with Happy People.

If you liked this, you'd almost definitely like Grizzly Man if you haven't seen it already. It's very similar to this one: similar theme (man vs. nature), and it's also a documentary assembled and narrated by Herzog from found footage shot by someone else.

For a dollar, name three white people. . .
