Great commercials, pity about the show!

Channel Seven has ruined what I suspect is a great Aussie TV production by showing constant commercials every five minutes. I couldn't believe how frequent the ad breaks were. There's so many adverts that it becomes hard to get into the show. I'll try and watch the next episode but I reckon I'll find it hard to get to episode three.

Err, don't blame channel 9, when it's CHANNEL 7 that's showing it! LOL

reply

Haha yes, my error. I've corrected it.

Well the episode after I wrote that little complaint had less frequent commercial breaks, but then last night Seven were back to same thing as before, adverts every five minutes. When I realised they had changed their programming to a double episode I gave up and recorded the second one. I'll watch it and skip through all those noisy ads.

Yep, that's what I do with my favourite shows, best way to watch them!

This has nothing on the first ever episode of Underbelly, I recall there was about 8 minutes total of show squeezed into the tiny gaps between the commercials.

As you and SPfromOZ say, best way to watch is to record as I do with everything I want to see on commercial TV now. Just waiting for a recorder with the intuition to recognise ads and skip them. I live in hope.

PS I know the folly of everyone being able to avoid commercials so I'd have to be the only one with the technology of course!

I've wanted to watch this for a while but refused while it was showing on channel 7 because I knew there would be constant commercials which would ruin a great tv show so I will be buying the dvd so I can enjoy it properly.

if everyone were to use torrentz, this tv show would have no official rating and would likely never get a DvD release, cable TV is much better then commercial TV and had only 1 add break during each episode, unfortunately this TV show never made it past the 1st season, but crap like Neighbors and home and away continue to this day
