The problem with the dialogue...
The problem with the dialogue is that there are no characters, just the voice of the writer, being mouthed by actors. Not characters resembling real people.
There was some brief good dialogue with Danny Devito where I felt like an actual character was talking, rather than the writer, but shortly thereafter I gave up on this movie when I realized I wasn't going to find anything interesting at all. And Danny Devito's bit wasn't really much of a 'character' either, just a normal caricature of a mob gangster.
Bleah, awful.
