A bio-pic? A parody? A serious drama? Whichever, it's the perfect recipe for disaster:
Take every fact and Hollywood rumor about the Brando family and throw them into a mixing bowl with the words "amateurish bio-pic" and "nepotism." What you get is this production of Brando Unauthorized. Calling it hackneyed is giving it way too much credit.
I'm sure this was a labor of love for the Chapa family. But Writer, Director, Lead Actor Damien Chapa failed in his attempt to be everything. I suggest he choose one or the other on his next film.
Whatever it is, I expected a lot more than it delivered.
How in the freaking hell.....I just saw this under his credits. He plays Marlon Brando...what the *beep* Damian Chapa looks nothing like Marlon Brando at all....Who has seen this really? How does he look? Isn't Damian chapa a latino? This just sounds like one of the stupidest movies i've ever heard....I'm glad no one knows of it.
sharethe best bit is a 40's Chapa with middle age spread and pudgy face plays the perfectly built and younger Brando in his pre Streetcar days, it is unintentionally hilarious
