American remake
According to a recent New York Times review (from July 22), Klown is being remade for American audiences. Todd Philips (Hangover), and Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) are working on it. They have the blessing of Christensen and Hvam.
The movie didn't exactly have me laughing all the way through, but it was still a hilarious trip nonetheless. Plus, I love the pancake lady (played by Marie Mondrup)... ;)
I think that indeed the context of some of the jokes is lost on American audiences, but it would be a shame to pass on this movie just because of that. Anyway, on to the crux of this post...
If I were to cast Frank Hvam's role, my one choice for that guy would be Conan O'Brien. I don't know... something about his comic demeanor would work here. He is a father after all, and could easily relate to Bo. I really could imagine Conan following Casper around during the Tour of P***y. Speaking of which... for Casper, I'd want... oh man... either John Travolta, or hell, why not Matthew McConaughey?
LOL!!!
As for the pancake lady... my choice would be Camryn Mannheim. Yes, sir.
Whom would you guys cast in this movie?
