Not sure if I get the premise behind the whole thing or the "twist" near the end. So Julio was an alien all along but he didn't know it? Was he "switched out" or was he an alien all along? I'm not really sure how Angel figured it out either. And so the whole "invasion" was because Julio wanted to meet Julia? How did they end up in the same apartment together? How come everybody else left while they stayed? What happened?

I felt kind of cheated in the end. I enjoyed the movie, but it lacked payoff.

I should mention I'm a huge fan of Nacho's first work, TimeCrimes, and was expecting something on that level when I tuned in to Extraterrestrial. It's not until I read the synopsis that I realized it was primarily meant to be a comedy. Oops.

No, he wasn't an alien. He just realized when the neighbor thought he was an alien that he could use that story to get Julia and her fiance back together again. The aliens weren't really even a necessary part of the movie. Just a fun distraction to make this rom com different. I liked it.
