Amateurish

This movie is full of continuity errors, one character has a grown beard, the next shot he has a stubble. They move from downtown Madrid to its surroundings in seconds, sometimes without a car.

Vigalondo should know better.

reply

It's a 90 minute movie that takes place over the course of a week or so. A bit of quick maths leads me to the conclusion that... wait for it... IT'S NOT IN REAL TIME!

reply

You are right, maybe directors should invent something to let us know movie time is not like real time. They could call it transitions or something similar. Oh, wait, it was invented almost 100 years ago.

reply

Those transitions worked for me. Maybe you need some more background.

In the other hand, the movie has it's flaws, but you don't have to stick to the one thing you said (unless you don't have anything else to say).

BTW I don't know Madrid, so... in fiction it works (as in almost every single movie...)

Maybe the director thought the audience would be intelligent enough to work it out for themselves. Guess he was wrong in some cases.

reply

So sad people didn't have a chance to work it out. The movie was a box office bomb.

reply

I think you may be on to something... maybe he's an alien? that could explain his beard transforming itself into a stubble, and he can teleport himself around Madrid without a car? this is interesting... Maybe this film is all a conspiracy.

reply

That's it- strange nailed it. This film is all a conspiracy- to let the universe know how damn hot Michelle Jenner is! And now that the extraterrestrials have seen her, we'll never get rid if them!
