CLOSE UPS! ...SO MANY CLOSE UP!

I guess they only had one lens when making this? It's feels like they filmed this movie in a shoe box with how close you are to every single character. It's claustrophobic and not in a clever, artistic purposeful way. It just seems like the camera man doesn't know what the hell they were doing. Did they even look through the view finder?
