I kind of like it, but hate the remake aspect

Pretty much the title. The anime series is not that bad, the choice in graphics make it seem dark but they're missing out on the humor aspect of the show (and anime is a great medium for humor when you include the anime styles you'd see on other anime shows). The fact that they're remaking the original episodes (with some differences) is ruining it for me though, these stories are great but not for a second viewing to be honest.

Yeah I think the plots are way too close to how it wet down in the live actions series, they change a few things here and there, but if you've seen the original series you can guess what's going to happen.

Was wondering about that... I only just discovered the existence of "the animation" today and wanted to find out more about it - the episodes are pulled directly from the live series, so I'm wondering what the purpose is other than that it's animated.
