since when is being a virgin embarrassing?

i'm twenty years old and i'm a virgin and i'm not ashamed of it. i will most likely die one because sex is not anything that i'm just dying to try. in truth i think it's pretty funny how things go down. anyway, would anyone else be embarrassed about everyone finding out you're a virgin?

reply

I didn't get it either.

Every time I see a movie using that plot I have to roll my damn eyes

Honestly no girl I know, even the ones who DID sleep around runs around screaming

COME GET UP IN ME WHOOO!!!

They really should give us some credit, we females DO appreciate some subtly about our sexual escapades or lack of.

<<< Lmaooo! I agree. It's pretty sad these generations of kids. Too bad I'm apart of this generation. Eeck.

Yeah, what great "family values" this movie teaches.

It sure is showing on the right channel!

I HIGHLY doubt that she was the only virgin in school. Kids arent that slutty

reply

No, I would not be. Regardless of what anyone says about high school, every school has tons of virgins. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone is born one, so what's wrong with it? Of course there's nothing wrong with being a non virgin

reply

Well to me, if you can't count on one hand the amount of sexual partners you've had before you graduate then there is something wrong. Really not counting on on hand at any time is a bit much. That's my opinion though and I'm sure it's not thought by other people

" Growing up, I was taught to keep my legs closed until I became an adult and moved out of the house."

I don't think that is being taught anymore. I don't even think a lot of parents care whether their children have sex or not. Unfortunately

I'm 15 and a sophomore and to be honest, virtually everybody has had sex in my grade. The nerds, the cool kids... they're all doing it. Times have changed. If there was a popular kid in grade 12 who was a virgin I'd honestly be surprised, and if it was a guy he'd be made fun of by his friends no doubt.

reply

Glowpop, that is not something to be proud of. So basically your highschool has no morals.
"Times have changed" Sex is a big deal and if you do it because everyone is that doesn't say too much about someone.

And I found that part of the movie very offensive and terrible to put in a teen movie on ABC Family. Way to make kids want to have sex.

reply

To me, teenagers having sex doesn't mean that they don't have morals. It's common nowadays and everyone has their own set of morals. Sex isn't that big of a deal to some people, so it's silly to assume that teenagers who have sex are morally troubled. Just my thoughts.

reply

Some people. Bet it's not that big of a deal when you learn that you have a kid on the way. Wonder how big of a deal it would be then.

There's this thing called a condom, and a pill, and a morning-after pill, and abortion, and... it goes on.

well i don't think the people in your school should be very proud of that. being loose, in my opinion, is gross. when i was in school i didn't care if people knew i was a virgin. since i was one of two gay guys, the other my boyfriend people were constantly hounding me about my sex life. i was never embarrassed to say that we didn't have sex and were never going to

@glowpop You do realise teenagers are the biggest bullsh"tters out there?

We're cheetah girls cheetah sisters.. b!tch

reply

I can't agree fully with glowpop, but I know that in my 8th grade, most of the jock guys and prep girls were having sex, and it wasn't until high school that I started noticing the dorks (including me) finally gettin' some.

But I wouldn't say everyone was doing it. Incredibly, it was the theater people that were the kinkiest, from what I recall.

But I know at least one high school friend who's still a virgin, the bum!

@raspberrymoosies - agreed, in my experience at highschool, there really wasn't any so called "peer pressure" to do anything, if someone didn't want to drink/have sex/do drugs, people didn't really care.
