Derivative of Eureka.

I am not sure what audience they are going for with this. It seems to have part of the Knight Rider reboot in charge of the cinematography and backing-score, the writers need to realize that their audience isn't going to be impressed by whiz-bang tech much these days. The scenes with the son wandering about the facility looking at eye-candy (that has no relation to actual research methods) could have been handled in a much more mature manner. They should pick if they are going to be a farcical cloak-and-dagger intrigue show, like Chuck; a kids show, or an adult orientated dramedy.

Eureka. Exactly. What the hell is wrong with the entertainment industry? Can't come up with something original. Although "I Dream of Jeannie" was a derivative of Bewitched, still. They have no faith in the viewing public. Keep recycling the same stuff over and over. Eureka = good, original. Jensen Project = ripoff.

Who took my toast?

It wasn't a derivative of Eureka for me. I don't have cable.

A: The Jensen Project

Q: What do you get if The Disney Channel and the CW try to copy Eureka?

It's a pilot, and it reeks of it. And much techno-speak that doesn't work.

"Monitor." (Ah! Voice recognition. That's good.)

"Open files." (Which files?)

"Open next file." (Wait a minute! You never specified which files to open!)

The computers can apparently read minds.

I'm twenty minutes in; maybe I can make thirty.
