There was a scene when the mediator was asking her to talk about her feelings, and the white haired guy said You don't know what this woman has gone through! That scene resonated with me.
He was right. The thing about being over there, the thing most don't understand is everyday you're there is a day on edge. No matter where you are you can die. Every noise, every sound is something that will kill you. It puts you in a different state of mind. It takes a while to come back from that. You want to come home and be normal again. But you can't - it takes a while. It happens, but it takes a while.
shareBut what did she go thru? It´s never explained. She said nothing ever happened to her but was she lying? or something else happened? Was it depresion?
The sole idea of being away of her children and coming back not fitting in is understandable.
