TRAILER MADE ME SLEEPY

Halfway through the trailer, I checked out. Not a good sign. Thanks trailer... you saved me $4.

The movie made me even sleepier.
Yeah...this was one of the most pointless movies I've seen in a damn long while.

You must have seen a total of about 3 movies in your lifetime if this was even close to the most pointless. Watch more movies.

Not unlike how your post made me sleepy.

They make pills for ADHD in case you didn't know.

Dude, we get it. You liked this movie a lot. You've rushed to its defense on virtually every thread on this board.

But guess what: just because someone didn't like it, it doesn't mean they're a philistine.

I thought this movie was beautifully shot; visually fantastic. The actors were good too (mostly). But content-wise it failed for me. I get the idea -- and it was a good idea, just got wayyy too pretentious for its own good and sacrificed too much actual plot/story/development/whatever for the sake of being out there. And at times I found it either too boring or vague to even grasp on to it. Sometimes I just didn't get what the point was because while it aspired to deliver so much, it didn't go too far to deliver much of anything.

Just my two cents. A better ending could have really changed things a bit too; as-is it was only made more ridiculous.

Am I missing something? I think the 4.7 rating is definitely justified. Looks like people who actually liked this movie are in the minority and that might be saying something in this case. Even on Rotten Tomatoes this only has an 18%... That's a lot of minds pouring this over and not getting much out of it.

As for the topic of this thread: when I first watched the trailer I could only think: "Wait, what?" And not in a good way.

Who made you ruler of the forums? If I want to give my opinion and reply to any post I'd like, I certainly have the right too. So dude, I'm so glad you "get it", but I don't need you to tell me when to go home. I'm a big boy and I can handle myself. Thanks ;)
