What I learned from The Maze

Apparently, you have never been to a large corn field. It's quite easy to get lost in a large cornfield and even more so in a large corn maze. Not only that, but the leaves on a stalk of corn can cut like a knife. I spent two summers detassling corn in central Illinois and you had to wear long-sleeved shirts (the temp grew in excess of 100 degrees some days) with gloves otherwise your hands and arms would get so cut up by the end of the day that you wouldn't be able to do anything for weeks (there were a couple of guys who in order to get a day off would not wear a long sleeve shirt and get so cut up that they got a doctor's note to not come back the next day).
