Good film

I thought it was both written and directed fairly well. I was a bit puzzled by some of the casting choices. Andie MacDowell had some strong moments, but I think her accent was a bit of a distraction. The girls who played the daughters were outstanding.

Yes Mighty Fine is a great movie, it one of my favorite movies of Jodelle Ferland's work. Thought Chaz Palminteri did great job with his role but Jodelle is the reason I watched the movie.

How did you get to see it, purplefreak? I'm a big Jodelle fan as well. I'm hoping it comes out on DVD soon, since no theatres near me had it :-( Or maybe comes out on Video On Demand. But yeah, surprised its theatrical run was so limited and that there's hardly any posts about it here :-/ Considering the names involved, the premise, issues raised, and how awesome the trailer looked, was hoping it would have been a bigger showcase for Jodelle's talent. Hoped it could have been one of those "indie critic darling" type films that catches on with the public. Like Tideland should have. Oh well. Hoping The Tall Man gets at least a brief theatrical run near me.
