Suprisingly entertaining

I may be the only one but this movie was fun. I think i will go buy the DVD since i saw it on Netflix and dug it. Did anyone else like this movie?

Lol, I just finished the movie exactly a few minutes ago myself. Must have had the same idea for a thursday nite on Netflix. Movie was surprisingly entertaining enough. Didn't expect much, but for what it was is pretty decent. Literally surprises you until the very end. A couple twists I guessed, but didn't guess the absolute last one. Nice movie.

reply

Yeah, it fooled me too. I expected the worst but I was quite pleasantly surprised. Nothing great, nothing really original, the repeating parts are a bit overused after a while, but overall fun.

Love your username, Scarlett Letter Lady. Any movie that mixes E.A. Poe poetry (and not fiction), the story of John Smith and Pocahontas and Jeff Fahey and Gary Oldman with Helena Matssen’s pneumatic ass is more than okay with me. Not for nothing: Movies that print the name over the introduction of a key character are admitting they are part of a direct-to-video genre that has no aspirations beyond being fun. And the harm in that is, what, exactly?

reply

It was okay. The only thing I truly disliked about it was The Blonde character (who subsequently has the same exact hair style as Girl Next Door). I get its a tongue-in-cheek movie but come on, fighting that huge Indian guy while wearing high heels and not only winning, but barely breaking a sweat? Come on. I can only suspend my disbelief so much.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

only rented this movie because on the front cover i notice that the guy that plays sam merlotte in true blood was in this....so i figure i give it a shot...not bad film....Chris Kattan also in this film....great......title says it all(suprisingly entetaining)....so true....really injoyed the film....from start to finish.

reply

I thought it was great.

It had a surprisingly good cast for this kind of potboiler, the story kept perking along, and The Blonde gave me mahogany. I was, uh, satisfied. Yeah, that's the word. Saaaaaatisfied.

reply

I liked it. Definitely a movie that is not supposed to be taken seriously. Just a fun flick.

reply

I liked it, too. Certainly not "the best thing I've ever seen"--it's no masterpiece, but not every film has to be in that ballpark to be enjoyable.

Like most people on here, I found this on Netflix while searching. I really liked it. It had some fun characters, a silly plot, but it really did a good job of keeping the pace going so you didn't see the flaws.

This seemed like one of those pet projects of someone who got all his friends to do it for minimum pay. Everyone looked like they were having fun. That, for me, made the movie fun. It felt like a group of friends making a movie in their garage. Who hasn't dreamed of doing that?

My memory foam pillow says it can't remember my face. I can tell its lying.

Like most of you, I thought this was a fun film and I really liked it. The Girl Next Door was cute as a button and the Blonde was stunning.
