Right before the criminals are breaking it, Nicole kidman looks in her daughters room and notices shes gone. Cut to Nicolas cage just about to open the front door. Next we cut to nicole kidman running down the hallway. Finally, we cut to the criminals breaking in.
Why was Nicole kidman already reacting and running down the hallway before the criminals even broke in? I feel like it was a weird editing error

shareI know exactly what you mean! It didn't make sense to me. It's as if her daughter being gone had anything to do with the security guards showing up at the front door. She ran to him as if trying to warn him not to open the door to the "guards" for reasons that she really couldn't have suspected at that moment (from the audience's point of view.)

Whst about after Cage drugged the big guy and then ran out. The very next scene after he is caught is him getting shot in the leg with no scene of them going back to the room or anyone even mentioning that the big guy is now on the floor out cold.
This movie was a hack jib from start to finish and desrved its staright to video fate.
