Same title as an EXISTING movie but not a remake...

... so WTF ?!?

How hard was it, to come up with an ORIGINAL, never before used on the screen TITLE for this movie ?!?

1992's "Trespass" was a totally different story, so I really don't get it.. (even though I'm pretty sure there are lots of other examples out there...)

Just my 2 cents.

It happens with books, movies, music, art, jokes, stories, legends. Everything. It's not new and it's not going to change.

If you create something and feel like you have the perfect title for it, why should you have to change it because someone else used it once?

If it was something like, "Lord of the Rings" obviously that would be ridiculous. But TRESPASS is so generic and non-descript, you can't be surprised that more than one group of people chose to use it.

Thank you very much for answering, but I am still NOT convinced.

They could have done a lot better. There was just not enough creative effort in writing.

Plus, it's MISLEADING to viewers in general (not movie lovers or IMDb users), in the way people who have watched the 92' movie could actually think this was a remake, and then be disappointed..

Not even saying I like one story over the other, but just making a point.

If only there were entire websites devoted to films with brief synopses on them. Or maybe something like ads for movies that would give people a general plot idea. Someone should come up with something like that......
