Camera used?

Does anyone know what camera this film was shot on? It had a very unique look to me that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It felt like video at times but it was very sharp and had quite a bit of dynamic range throughout.

It could be that I'm just not used to watching Blu-Rays, or maybe I watched it with that "extra interpolation" 60i thing that is sometimes added on newer TVs. Does anyone know if perhaps this was shot at a higher framerate than 24?

Maddin uses an old 16mm bolex. it's 24 frames per second, but I don't think it's crystal-sync.
Then he cuts on film and blows it up to 35mm.
As far as I know that's still what he does.
16mm may be getting hard to come by, so he may have acquired a new camera and stuck to the old aesthetic, in which case, anything is possible.

Nah!...This is Maddin's first digital feature. He shot the film with a canon rebel camera I believe. It was then transferred to a 35mm print to be shown in selected theaters.
