frisking the employees in season 7

I'm watching just now this season and in the first episode Seth takes the decision...but what the hell??? Why are the employees complaining??? I remember in the pilot one of the first thing you can see is a frisking operation...so they were already used to do this...I'm confused..

Because it's likely fake and set up for the show. Even if they stopped frisking, I guarantee they would still check coats and bags for employees walking off with stuff.
