Theory on the ending *obvious and immediate spoilers*

I'm thinking the movie kinda made it a point to make sure we knew Will was a screenwriter and was going to write a Birdemic-type movie. So maybe the movie ended so abruptly because the writer died..?

Ending aside, I was so glad they worked Danny Weber back into the movie and how Damien Carter's song from the original was in the credits. Everyone in my theatre was singing and clapping along. Definitely try to see this movie in a theatre or with a group of friends who've seen the original.

Huh. That would actually be a pretty clever ending! I was actually let down with it just ending the way it did, but I didn't even think about that. Thanks!

Interesting theory. Could it be that Nguyen is a genuine Surrealist, film-directing genius?

"Just forget you ever saw it. It's better that way."

That struck me as being about half clever twist and half lame can't-think-of-anything-else CYA ending. It would have been infuriating in a better movie, but since this one clearly wasn't going anywhere... eh, why not? It had a bit of a self-referential Twilight Zone feel to it. It would have worked better if they'd spent half as much time developing the character of "Will" as they did on "Bill."

Of course, with the "birds" hovering in front of the Hollywood sign it was also sort of like the movie just timed out and went into screen saver mode.

That's the funniest thing I've seen anyone say about "Birdemic 2."
