nice take on prison movies

tho it's obviously a bit over the edge in terms of moralization/patronization/cliches, it remains true to itself & is a tad tendancious anw, worth a watch if u like prison movies while haven't been 2 jail, maybe even if :]
not the stature of Blood in blood out^, or Cool hand luke, but a nice addition to the genre.
Made me think of shawsank & reminded me of oz, there's strong messages & truth even if it looks a bit amateurish (but'is a canadian prod right? they progress fast:)
also idc if the name of the writer/director is white, the "black man" in this movie is depicted rather unawesomely, just saying.no snitchin' :] (i ain't even black yet);)

just got out same time as "life of a king", so i guess there's some equilibrium at work :]

y well, so they can "shower" & launder their dirty clothes @ the same time, tiz pragmactical . & they have an extra layer of protection in case of soap dropping is what u want mi to say? there, said it. neva showered in jail yet tho :] (not looking forward 2 it either)
