Two things:

1. How is Robbie everywhere the Sapphires go in Vietnam?

2. I think we got us a subgenre: Can anyone think of any other films that follow the "washed-out coach / manager takes ragtag kids and makes them a success"? I'll start: Cool Runnings

I like Robbie, the actor who played him is gorgeous. If he likes Kay he will find a way to be wherever she is. I like Kay and Robbie together, they have good chemistry.
