Racist soldier in the helicopter
He refuses medical treatment because Kay's BF is Black. He doesn't know that Kay is "Black" too. What is the point of this scene?

I, too, found that scene to be odd. I can't imagine being so racist that you would prefer to die than be saved by someone from another race.
Perhaps that was the point - to say that bigotry runs really, really deep.
