Good stranded island episode.
Josh was good in this one. The shelter worked, collecting water and catching the crabs.
Overall good episode in my opinion without the drama.

Much better than the previous couple of episodes. I was still disappointed with how the first 20 minutes or more of the episode was wasted on building a signal fire. We don't need to see that. Show us the search for water and food instead.

They land on the island and Grady immediately wants to start a signal fire?
Does he know they are filming an hour long show?
I can see that from 2 perspectives: the television viewer and the guy stranded on an island.
IMO, a signal fire would be a good thing to get going. If you were just lost at sea, there would likely be some kind of rescue effort getting underway fairly quickly. You'd want to be ready. Likewise, if you found a water supply, you'd want to have a fire to purify it.
As a tv viewer, they spent an awful lot of time looking for ways to start the fire. I would have rather seen more details of the shelter construction.

I don't think I explained myself very well.

I had forgotten sequence of events. Yeah making the 3 fires at that point was over kill. I'd be inclined to want to be able to make a big fire on a moments notice if need be, but not go to that added effort of 3.
