Okay, let's be real...

The movies may be sh*t but can we agree that:

1) They are beautifully shot.

2) The soundtracks are great.

3) The wolves look amazing, seriously, the animation and anatomy is beautiful.

Even the concept isn't awful. It was just written $h!tily by a $h!t writer. I mean, the screenwriters of Twilight also adapted my favourite book, TFiOS. THAT was a good film (imo), even if it lacked compared to the book, it was still a FANTASTIC rendition. I tried reading Twilight, and even though I actually liked the characters and ideas behind the story... it was like reading a loaf of moldy ass bread. It's so poorly written, that the screenwriters couldn't make it better. A shame, since what's better than a werewolf, vampire romantic clustercuss.

(4) Taylor Lautner is fine af. Also, the films are unintentionally hilarious).

(I'm sure Ms Myers is lovely, but like Stephen King once said, she can't write worth a darn).

If you really and truly want to get real ... not everyone has the same tastes, and there are tons of us who love both the book & movie series. We don't see anything $hitty about either one.

Your opinion is yours, and you shouldn't expect everyone to share the same point of view.

[Edit]

Edited to change *beep* to $hitty.

I agree for the most part, except the wolves. I think they looked a little too "animated."

Let's be bad guys.

There was an interesting behind the scenes of New Moon,Eclipse and then Breaking Dawn..on the "making of the wolves"...you can see the new changes made for each movie, and I understand, ground breaking CGI was invented...huge difference for each movie...the author wanted the wolves to not be "werewolves"..these were Indian shape changers...big difference..

reply

And there are werewolves who shift at will, so there is no “big difference.” You don’t know much about lycanthropy.

This. All of it. So much.

1) They are beautifully shot.

The movies have a beautiful aesthetic, right the way through. Not just the scenery and set designs, but the lighting and costuming as well. I mean, god I love Bella and Edward's house and some of the clothes make me green with envy.

2) The soundtracks are great.

Yes, and it's not just the songs either. The score is lovely. So much so I actually bought 'Bella's lullaby' on iTunes.

Separate of the books, the movies themselves are decent. Certainly, my Ma really likes the movies, and she's not really one for these teen drams/romances. They've put action in where they can (something the books were severely lacking) and they weeded out the weird bits as much as they could (Claire/Quill).

They're not sh*t! They're beautiful films!!

I somehow picture you as a 40 year old man who still lives in his mother's basement and doesn't get out much.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I've expressed the same sentiments on these boards. The movies are like a gorgeous music video for a great song, but that's about it.

Rosenberg made likable characters so stilted and totally unlike the book characters. It's cringe-worthy. Although, it is fun to hate-watch them!

I love the movies and the music. The dislike is just the world we live in these days.
