Doomsday vs. Darkseid

That would be an Epic Fight. The Perfect Killing Machine vs. An All Powerful Warlord. Who do you think would win?

reply

I believe at one point the two of them were going to fight but it was prevented by something

reply

I thought the all powerful warlord was Mongol.

Racist Game = Pool. WHITE ball push COLORED balls back into holes. BLACK ball out = you win.

The comics already covered this back in the 90's in the sequel to The Death Of Superman and Return Of Superman in; Superman Doomsday: Hunter/Prey! Doomsday came back stronger than ever, invaded Apokolips and beat the whole hell out of Darkseid, his Parademons, and elite guard forces etc. Would definitely be sweet indeed if they adapted that fight and story for an animated DTV feature for DVD/Blu-Ray. Overall though i've always wondered what a teamup it would be to put both Darkseid of Apokolips and Mongul of Warworld together and for them to try and take Superman on in a fight to the death. But alas both of them have been seen multiple times now and i think it'll be better for some new blood who's a badass to try and defeat Superman in a killer 'knockdown' dragout battle.

I'm thinking Magog/Gog should get his own animated feature as the main villain like the story that dealt with his backstory in; 'The Neverending Slaughter' storyline in 'The Kingdom' or adapt the original story 'Kingdom Come' although he appears much less in that one and its about the 'Armageddon' of most of the superheroes era!

Although that in itself, would certainly be a neat polar opposite companion piece to 'New Frontier' DTV flick. Which was about the genesis beginning of the superheroes teams or Justice League era of superheroes.

Darkseid would win. Not even superman can kill Darkseid, its been
stated clearly that Darkseid's only weakness is a special substance called Radion (spelling?).

I would dare say that the only thing that can actually KILL Darkseid would be supreme beings like Galactus who has the power to actually disolve matter down to a sub-atomic level, in which Darkseid would have great problems staying alive.

There is no "Darkseid would win" because Darkseid lost. He blasted Doomsday with his Omega Beams, and Doomsday laughed it off. He attacked Darkseid and left him for dead. Superman had to save him.

Straightedge means I'm better than you.

In the Superman Hunter/Prey storyline Doomsday and Darkseid battle, with Doomsday nearly killing Darkseid. So I guess the answer is Doomsday.

Oh, ya. That would be the best brawl EVER. It would last for weeks or maybe months and destroy many cities and skyscrapers. I would give a slight edge to Darkseid because ne is far more intelligent, but really, it could go either way. I guess I would say Darkseid but he would be HURT, real bad. Damn good question nd5640075.

Doomsday was a bad idea from the start. He has no talent and nothing to offer. He's nothing more than your basic brute, without a drop of intelligence.

Any storyline of him beating Superman or Darkseid would be....stupid.

OP, the two have fought once in a comics storyline called Hunter Prey. Google it or buy it online---it's a very fun read! Someone here already covered the premise of it, whereas also Superman examines whether he can stop Doomsday and has initial hesitations over facing off against him again. Doomsday ends up on Apokolips thanks to two space explorers who mistake his makeshift meteoric coffin as a piece of profit. Then once he ends up on the ship, killing everyone onboard, he lands on the fiery planet picking up murdering everyone in his path like on Earth. Darkseid more or less says that enough is enough and has to take things into his own hands and blindsides the monster with his omega beams. Those having decimated everything in existence they hit to ash, Darkseid was confident he had destroyed the monster. On a personal note, I laughed the first time I read it when as Darkseid walks off, Doomsday easily gets up from the wreckage he was blasted away into and beats Darkseid to a pulp with the ruler exclaiming "It's true what the legends say--YOU ARE beyond death!".

He's beaten so badly Superman was tempted to let him die. Then he realized that the people of Apokolips, as sadistically despicable their quality of life was at Darkseid's hand, ironically needed him so he repaired him with the Mother Box device.

Yes I know they have fought but there are some points to consider:

It was a story that was supposed to show Doomsday as unstoppable and so they let him defeat a powerful foe.

Power Levels fluctuate and often writers rely on pure plot inducted stupidity.
Darkseid has hurt the Spectre with his Omega Beams who is faaaaar above Doomsday.

Many Fans say that Darkseid became weaker after the Crisis on infinite Earths.
The only Pre Crisis story I have is the Great Darkness Saga. There he one shots a few very powerful charakters. But he absorbed the energy of powerful artifacts and enemies in that story and fans debate if he got amped by that power or just refilled the power he lost after a thousand years of sleep.
And there is Final Crisis were his fall on earth caused multyversal damage.
