Barda didn't kill Granny Goodness to prove she could have mercy, right?

But if so, wasn't Barda's showing of mercy kind of undermined by the fact that she speared Stompa through the chest?

There are differences when you are fighting someone and when someone is helpless at your feet. In the battle she killed Stompa because they were fighting and it was one of the only ways out. Granny Goodness was at her feet though she was prodding her to kill her she was still helpless at her feet that is mercy.

There is also the lack of real ability to kill, the furies have faced death on occasion and Darksied has ressurected them.... it would be a shame if he didnt do the same for the mostly useful and effective Stompa.

This always bugs me when stories have the villain goading the hero into killing them. I think Batman/Joker is the only one that works well, because it is the whole dynamic of their relationship.

Sure GG was begging Barda to do it, to liek make a point or something, but imagien the look on her face if Barda was like "I'm not doing this out of revenge, I'm doing this to spare the people you will hurt in the future." And for that matter, why was Wonder Woman not able to stick a sword in her neck? she's an Amazon warrior, I think that's like their whole deal.

On that topic, I thought it was pretty funny how Darksied's logic for agreeing with Batman was that humans will kill their own kind to meet their ends. Except, if he knew ANYTHING about Batman, he'd know that was his ENTIRE purpose for being a hero... (you know the same guy who will make a joke and throw a bomb to kill 2 giant dogs and their riders... (so they survived so what, was that his plan?))

No, she did it to demonstrate she had no strategic sense. That sort of thing always comes back to bite oneself or people you care about in the àss.

The only safe enemy is a dead one.
