Missy

She was WAY too old for this part. I like the kid playing her and thought she did an awesome job but she's not right for the part because Missy was younger than her in the first movie and this predates that.

I agree, she did a very good job, but since this movie takes place about 2 years before Love Comes Softly I thought they should have chosen a girl who looked more like the girl in Love Comes Softly only younger.

I have to respectfully disagree. Morgan does look at least 11 if not a little older. I thought she was older than she actually was when I watched her in "2012". And we are talking continuity in the movies so I think the books are irrelevant. She was two but Aron's name was also Clem. Somethings just make more sense when adapted to film. If Missy had been younger then there would be no conflict between her and Marty which would belittle the bond they later developed. The books are great but they are an entirely different animal than the movies and I accept the movies as loose adaptations. But back to the original point. I think they should have at least gotten a little girl who was either younger or could pull off a younger age. As I said, I think Morgan Lily is a terrific little actress and I think she's going to go very far but I just don't think she was right for this particular role. I've liked her since I first say her in a 2008 K-Mart Christmas commercial.

Just a side note, I kind of wish they were making the second film now so they could use Skye as Missy again. She turned into quite a stunning beauty.

I COMPLETELY agree, as I was watching it I thought that she looked WAY too old for the part of Missy, she looks older then the girl that played Missy in Love Comes Softly which makes no sense. Wes Brown is so young compared to how old Clark is in Love Comes Softly which makes it even more unbelievable with how old Missy is in this movie. I LOVED the characters in both the prequels and wish they could've made a few more of these, I loved Wes Brown in them. I just wish the casting of an age appropriate Missy would of been taken more into consideration.
