The end

I have my own particular hypothesis of the final. For this I had to download the subtitles in English, for although as Spanish is my mother tongue and have many Chilean friends, it was hard for me to understand the conversations in the very colloquial Chilean-Spanish of the film.

Andres does not explain the reasons why he did not attend the meeting of the coffee shop. Beatriz waited for him frustrated and then went sick.

Beatriz was still resentful with Andrés and accuses him of being selfish, when he propose her to leave with him and the twins for the first time.

I think, by the signs of satisfaction at the end of the film of the woman friends of Beatriz, that they are an indicator that it was all a very well planned revenge involving Beatriz women friends; that Beatriz manipulated Andrés into believing he was coming back to him, then, at the last moment, to reject him.

Yo tengo mi hipótesis particular del final. Para esto tuve que descargar los subtítulos en inglés, ya que a pesar de yo ser hispanohablante de nacimiento y tener muchos amigos chilenos, me fue difícil entender los parlamentos en el español chileno muy coloquial de la película.

Andrés no aclara el motivo por el cual el no acudió a la cita del café. Beatriz se quedó esperándolo frustrada y luego enfermó.

Beatriz seguía resentida con Andrés y lo acusa de egoísta cuando él le propone que se vaya con él y las mellizas por primera vez.

Me parece, por las señales de satisfacción al final de la película de las amigas de Beatriz, que son un indicador que todo fue una venganza muy bien planificada entre todas; que Beatriz manipuló a Andrés para hacerle creer que iba a volver con él, para luego, en el último momento, rechazarlo.
