Was not impressed with the ending SPOILERS!

To be honest, I actually liked the majority of the film. I was happy to be rid of the stalker blogger chick, she was just too annoying. I liked the fact the film showed the main character slowly deteriorate into madness (and he was not a bad actor either). However, it did seem kind of quick as supposedly it had only been 12 days (not to mention the girl disappeared at day 2)...If people went crazy after only 12 days, I would not go visit Alaska, northern Wisconsin, UP of Michigan or any places like that in the middle of winter as people are cooped up for months in winter (and in Alaska's case, complete darkness). Heck even Jack in the Shining needed over a month to lose it (I thought for a moment the filmmakers may be trying to mooch off of that film as well)..

When I saw the ending, I immediately thought, "Oh no not that angle again", the whole, it was the main character all along, ala Session 9 and other films I have seen. Ok, I get the idea of sleepwalking, but there are way too many plot holes like what was the point of Joe the Doorman then? There were too many supernatural elements (what scared Grandma to death, what about the claw marks on the headboard of the bed, what's with the hole in the wall, whats the deal with Grandma's shoes, what about the weird flashes of light, etc.)..and back to Joe, why would he help kid so much, especially to dispose of the bodies? I wish they would have left it at the kid killing himself on one of his booby traps (no snooty rich family moving in at the end and the kid finding the SD card), then you could have left it open to interpretation (psychological, demonic, supernatural, etc.).

I agree... What was the point of how the grandmother died? And for him to lose his sanity so fast... With no satisfying explanation to why it happened that way. The creepy doorman was a red herring to the point of cheating. I mean why did he care so much? This movie started out promising, but then went sideways.

The little boy watches the MC drag the girl into the hallway, with the camera set up at the end of the hallway. But didn't the guy only put the camera there AFTER getting rid of the girl's body (an act he didn't later remember)?
